Jules Anslow's Art at Whimsy

Jules Anslow at Whimsy

Can you believe it’s the second Thursday of September already?  And that can only mean one thing: Capitol Hill Arts Walk! From 5pm to 8pm tonight (September 10) you can see over 40 art exhibits in local stores and restaurants in Capitol Hill.

Whimsy Home Decor is pleased to host Jules Anslow.  Jules began her artistic journey by creating jewelry and pottery. These day she works primarily in acrylic paint on wood.  “From multi-level cutout paintings to three-dimensional murals, Jules  uses every opportunity to combine 2D and 3D for a larger-than-life effect.”

You may have seen her work in Pike Place Market’s 2007 Pigs on Parade – she created two of the pigs.

Toaster

As always, 10% of the art sales tonight at Whimsy will go to the artists charity of choice.  Jules has chosen Pigs Peace Sanctuary to donate to.  They give care and safe haven to pigs who have been mistreated, neglected or hurt.
